Excuse me while I be slightly self indulgent here and do a post about my own birthday party. I happen to have some of the best friends around that came in from Washington and California just for the occasion. So we threw together a super simple, but super cute and fun Ice Cream Party. And from what I heard it was a pretty big hit.
Here is an over view of the setup.
First we started out with homemade vanilla ice cream. I borrowed this AWESOME Kitchen Aid ice cream maker attachment from a coworker. Now of course I want one of my own. It is seriously so simple, and really does not take up much space storage wise since it is just the bowl. If you are in the market for an ice cream maker and have a Kitchen Aid I highly recommend it.
Then we made some cookies so that people could make ice cream sandwhiches if they wanted – we also saved some of the cookie dough to use as one of the toppings. Hot Fudge and Caramel are musts!
We gathered up lots of other fun toppings and made them look extra cute by putting them in the always classy mini latte bowls.
Everyone really enjoyed building there sundays. If you are on the hunt for a fun summer party idea here you go. Or I had even though it would be fun to have milk, and offer milkshakes as well.
