Decorate the perfect vintage Christmas tree this holiday season!

We are so excited to team up with our vendor Perspective Design Co. to bring you simple tips to help you incorporate a vintage vibe in your tree decorating this holiday season.

Perspective Design Co. offers some simple tips to give your tree the perfect vintage feel. Check them out below.

#1 :: The Container.

Sounds simple enough, but using a vintage container to put your tree in, like an old bucket or wood crate, sets the perfect stage for your vintage-inspired Christmas tree.

#2 :: The Ornaments.

Who doesn’t love vintage ornaments? We sure do! Our favorites, especially for this tree are mercery glass ornaments. Old Shinny Brights are another of our favorites that are relatively easy to find. Be sure to include a variety of sizes to give your tree depth and less uniformity.

#3 :: The Accents.

Now this is the fun part. This is where you get to think outside-the-box and go non-traditional! In this vintage tree, Perspective incorporated elk shed (no animals are harmed, these are the antlers they shed every year!), birds nests and pheasant feathers.

Naturals pair perfectly with vintage a style. Vintage player piano music rolls were used as ribbon in this tree to add a bit of whimsical charm, however you could easily use burlap as well.

Since it is Christmas, don’t forget to add something with a little sparkle or glitter to your tree. It helps keep your tree from feeling flat and gives the lights something to reflect off of.
