I’ve been on the hunt for a while now for a small bistro set. My apartment has a decent sized deck, that has been completely empty the entire time I have lived in it. Really it is pretty sad looking. Last week at Ross I stumbled upon this beauty and knew I had to get it.

Isn’t it cute? I loved it! But I also knew that my patio was multiple shades of neutral, that I figured would make this cute table and chairs blend right it. I didn’t want that of course. I wanted these babies to stand out, to be noticed. So with these as my inspiration I went for a bold paint color.

Sun Yellow gloss, did not disappoint. It took me exactly three cans to paint the two chairs and table.

I love that the brighter color shows the circle details so much more.

I don’t really know what I expected them to look like, but they came out even better. My next project may just be to make some cute seat cushions for the chairs. They will make them even more comfortable, and add a wee bit more color.

It’s just begging me to enjoy a relaxing breakfast out there, watching the hot air balloons float on by. But I think I may just have to wait a few more months until it will be cool enough for that to happen.
