I love turning things I can’t even stand looking at into things that make me smile. I had a very sad fridge. It was original to the house and the lovely “almond” color that just looks like it was once a bright white fridge that is now old and tired.
Like most of us, spending $1800 on a new fridge is out of the question, so I began to brainstorm. I remembered seeing posts about people painting their refrigerators and decided to give it a try. I decided on chalkboard paint so I could write notes and grocery lists.
I primed it with Kills primer and painted it the black chalkboard paint. I thought it would look best since our other appliances are black. However, it ended up just looking like a black appliance. So I grabbed the green chalkboard paint and I just LOVE it!
I also got inspired and decided to make cute magnets for the gridge. I bought these typography letters a while ago at an antique store and really had no idea what to do with them. Once I got my fridge done, I knew exactly what to do!
I took the letters and added a small magnet to the back of them with hot glue. I bought 8 magnets for $2.99 (they are cheaper on amazon, but I didn’t want to wait!)
These are for my three little B’s! Baylor, Broden and Benson
Hope you get inspired this week to create something that makes you smile!
