Personal bio: I grew up in a small town in Minnesota. I moved to Wyoming after I got married and then started spending the winters in Arizona, yup I was a very young snowbird!
How did you start your business & why? I started my business 20 years ago so I could stay at home with my two daughters. My mother in law taught me how to tole paint and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ve seen lots of changes in the trends over the years and my business has changed to adapt to them.
How would you best describe your style and the items you sell? I love the farmhouse style that is so popular right now. I enjoy giving worn out furniture a new life with paint. I collect antiques and furniture from my many cross country adventures with my husband. I love anything that can be repurposed and used as home decor. Some of my favorite items to sell are beautiful buffets, old doors, windows, scales, globes, fans, crates, wire baskets, wood tool boxes and enamelware.
When was your first Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market? I participated in the first Junk in the Trunk when it was in a backyard in Scottsdale. It blew me away then and it just keeps getting better!
And what is your favorite part about the event? Or a favorite memory? I love seeing the variety of items at Junk in the Trunk and my favorite thing is when someone comes into my booth and tells me they follow me on Facebook or IG It makes my day to meet my fans because without them, I couldn’t continue living my dream!
What’s your favorite place to get away in the summer? It’s hard to choose just one favorite place to get away in the summer, but I’d have to say Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Its truly God’s country with so many things to see and do! I love the mountains, the lakes and the hiking!
