I saw this amazing project on Instagram and knew I had to create it for Baby Benson’s nursery/big boy room. 

So I ordered the felt balls from www.hellomaypole.bigcartel.com and got started!

What you will need…

Branch (I snagged a branch from our fig tree in the yard.)

Needle and Thread

Sissors

Yes, that is it!

First I spread out the balls and assorted them the way I wanted.

After you have your desired look, just thread your string through the balls. This is pretty easy, just string one end with a needle and tie a knot on the other end.  You might have to do a few knots so the balls don’t slip through.  I was going to glue the bottom so the balls didn’t fall off, but I didn’t end up needing to.  Tie the other end of the string to the branch.  I will replace the thread on top with clear fishing line eventually, just didn’t have any on hand.

I love how it turned out and can’t wait to put it up in his room!
