Did you all have a happy St. Patrick’s Day? I actually forgot to wear green, but I did eat lots of green cookies! We are talking about the colors of spring this month. When I think of spring I think bright and cheerful. Well, my old dining room was not that. I painted the wall a deep purpleish grey when we moved in. I liked it a lot, but it was so dark and it really shrunk the room. The room was also really small and we were having a hard time fitting our family of five in there, much less any guests we had over.
We were ready for a change. We also had a leak and had to patch the wall which was one more reason to paint! After talking it over with the hubby, we decided to put the dining room in our back living area and make the “dining room” our office. I painted the wall Owl Gray like the rest of the house and it instantly brightened up the whole room.
My girlfriend came over and helped me arrange the room with the stuff I already had, so it was a free make over except for the paint! I love how it turned out. I am not crazy about the desk yet. It is a little small and has no drawers. I got this beauty and I am going to give it a little make over and replace it in the space.
