Happy Monday! I have been wanted to make an advent calendar for a few years now, but always think about it way to late and I never get it done. So this year I was determined to get it done.
My dad has a lot of extra wood in his garage so I headed over and he said he would help! Aren’t dads the best?
Here is what you need.
1. Pencil
2. Measuring Tape
3. Circular Saw
4. Stand thingy (so technical I know!)
5. Wood (I chose 1X4s)
Decide how tall you want your tree and then how long you want your branches then measure them out and cut.
Lay out your tree and place two screws on each branch; one just on either side of the middle point.
I wanted a white tree with cute burlap bags, that way I could use it all year around for different purposes. So I painted it white and painted 24 small clothes pins white also.
I purchased small burlap bags from a wholesale place, I can’t remember where sorry! I just googled wholesale small burlap bags.
I have this vintage stamp set but I ran out of black ink, so I just used black paint to stamp the numbers on.
Here she is!
I am heading to the dollar section at Target to fill them up! I am thinking of putting scripture in each day that we can talk about and a little treat for each of the boys. I am excited to start this tradition!
