We are in full swing of the most organized month of the year! Are you getting organized, or at leastgetting some great inspiration to jump start you? I hope so! Well today I wanted to help you think outside the box, or as we like to say, outside the Rubbermaid. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Rubbermaid for my garage storage, but I don’t think it belongs in the house. Here are some key items I love to organize with.
1. Canning Jars. Yes I know that may sound weird, but they are wonderful! I have a great collection of them and I use them for everything…
*Kitchen Canisters- flour, sugar
* Pencil Holders
*Cups (ok, so this isn’t really organizing, but they are so very useful!)
*Holding collections of small items… toy cars, marbles, holiday décor…etc
Ok, you get the point, they are amazing!
2. Old Trunks
I don’t think you need convincing on this one! These old trunks are amazing! I saw this one on wheels today at an antique shop and am wishing I bought it! Think of all the goodies it could hold! I would use this for toy storage or extra blankets and pillows. It looks great out as décor too. Maybe a coffee or side table with storage… BOUNS!
3. Wood Crates
How many of us walk in the front door and throw our mail in a heaping pile onto the desk? Throw a crate in the corner of the desk and all your papers can be tossed in there, and still look organized and it takes no effort from you!
They are also great for extra towels in the bathroom, hung on the wall to display collections, or to organize toys in kids rooms!
These are my favorite organizing tools, what are yours
