Well things have been crazy around here lately, not only are we moving, there is a tax deadline next week, and we are just a month away from our next market!! Who’s getting excited for that?! Needless to say, all that doesn’t leave much time to get stuff done on the new house. Here’s a little update on the house. On September 26th we got keys! Woohoo! So let the fun begin. . .
My kids were quite excited about these built-ins, but I was not. And this picture above being a large reason why! They were constantly climbing in them and on top of them and jumping off.
So last week my husband and brother tore out the built-ins that had been around the fireplace and ripped off the stone that was on the fireplace (mostly because they were already all falling off).
It took them several hours and to make this lovely mess. And then several hours the next day to clean it all up.
But then it was ready to become this beauty! We cannot take any credit for the work, but used a great recommendation from our friends over at Rafterhouse. Tomorrow the painters will begin their transformation and then it will be about time to move in. Make sure you follow us on instagram for more updates.
