Description
This is an original hand-colored print from Curtis’s Botanical Magazine. This print came from an illustrated gardening and botanical journal that started by William Curtis in the 18th century. This particular flower is called, “Eryngium alpinum” from 1806, plate 922. The picture itself is 9″ x 6″ and is beautifully matted and framed. The frame measures 15-1/2″ x 12-1/4″. The frame is gold colored and in pretty good condition. Each corner of the frame has detailed leaves which add to the botanical flower print, as you can see from the picture detail. The left bottom corner of the frame has some discoloration ( looks like old paint). Everything else about the print and frame is in great condition!
