Karie is one of Coley and I’s good friends, who spent the last year writing a blog where she challenged herself to do a Pinterest project everyday, whether is was crafty, decorating, a recipe or clothing inspiration. So let me just tell you she cialis pills has some amazing projects planned for you guys. So join with me in welcoming Karie!!! And make sure you leave her a comment welcoming her to the blog.
I am so excited to be joining in on the fun that is Junk in the Trunk!
As many of you might know, I love to try out new ideas from Pinterest. It seems to have seeped into my everyday life whether I like it or not, but many times for the better! I try a variety of ideas from the boards: anything from cooking, crafting, or fashion, but my love definitely leans more towards the crafty side!
Typically every Tuesday I will be posting with the lovely and ever so crafty ladies of Junk in the Trunk. My direction is to find something from Pinterest that inspires me, and try to recreate it! It you have any suggestions that you would like me to try out, feel free to suggest a pin in the comments below, or on my Pinterest username: kariemjohnson
This week’s fun was a simple nativity. With two kids it’s tough having beautiful glass nativities around because they will somehow end up being broken (as mine have). A simple wooden one was the answer!
Items needed:
6 in wooden block
5 in wooden block
3 in thinner wooden block
1.5 in wooden circle (2)
.5 in wooden circle
sandpaper to rough it up a bit
Jute or Twine
your choice of paint colors
wire
metal star
wood glue
Items used. I love Martha Stewart’s paint. Great selection of colors as well.
Sanding is a must. Before you paint as well as after!
Hope you liked it! It really was very simple to do, so I plan on making more to give as gifts. It’s such a great reminder of the reason for this season.

Items used:
Frame with Chalkboard spray paint
Apothecary jars with pine cones, candy canes, vintage ornaments, mini chalkboard signs to spell JOY
What have you done lately from Pinterest or what are you hoping to do? Please comment below, I’d love to hear it!
Happy pinning!
