We did it! Wow, this market has been in the works for a few years and it finally happened! Lots of dreaming, planning, worrying and loss of sleep over this market and it came and went like a blink of an eye. Lindsey and I flew out to LA on Saturday evening for an early TV appearance on Sunday morning. We had a total of 3 appearances, newspaper and radio interviews and a whirlwind of PR appearances. We met so many amazing people that share our love for JUNK and the community that our markets cultivate. The week was busy, but we were so excited, it hardly felt like work!
Our amazing team set to work at the venue on Thursday while vendors traveled from all over the country and set up shop on Friday. The quality of vendors was the best of the best and we were stoked to open the doors on Saturday morning. The most beautiful handmade and vintage items were all ready for their new owners.
Saturday morning our die hard JUNKERS started lining up at 6:30am. Lindsey and I chatted with one lady that came all the way from the east coast and was the first one in line! We are so blessed by our shoppers that support our dream and the dreams of so many vendors and their small businesses.
{not to brag, but we do have the best shoppers and vendors around!}
We partnered with Children’s Fund based in California and tons of shoppers brought school supplies to help their organization for students in need. What a blessing to see so many come out to help those in need. Did I mention our shoppers are the BEST?!
Our mama’s enjoyed a beautiful space where they could rest and nurse their babes in private in our Mama’s Lounge sponsored by Found Rentals.
Again, we thank everyone for coming out to #partylikeajunker with us in LA. And a HUGE thank you to our staff, family and friends for all their hard work.
We are excited to come back and do it again!
