Today we are starting a wonderful new series on our blog where you will get to meet each of our FABULOUS VENDORS!!!
Name: Debbie Bjorna
Business Name: Use-2-bee’s Creations
Shops where people can find you: Thriftiques and 3 Vintage Chicks
Personal bio: I grew up in York, Maine and my family loved to camp and fish. We spent most of our free time on the water, on one of the 3 the gorgeous beaches in our small town. We had terrible winters so when I graduated high school I headed to the sun, spending time in Florida and then of course Arizona soaking up the sun.
How did you start your business & why? I have had a love of antiques and the stories behind them. Love the hunt for those elusive treasures and traveling with my husband. Growing up we always gave things a facelift instead of buying new and re-purposed something to fit a need. Hence Use-2-bee’s was a natural thing for me to start after I retired from education.
How would you best describe your style and the items you sell? I would describe my style of our furniture upcycling as shabby chic with an influence from french country.
When was your first Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market? 2013
And what is your favorite part about the event? Or a favorite memory? I have two favorite parts of this wonderful event.. the day we setup for the show, I love watching it literally rise from the ground into these amazing displays with wonderful creations. Secondly I love meeting the people in the crowd helping them find that special treasure for their home or seeing the big smile on they face when they see exactly what they want and I was able to make it happen for them.. very rewarding!!
What’s your favorite place to get away in the summer? Huntington Beach, California at Sandy’s Beach Side Restaurant watching the sunset into the ocean at the pier with my husband.
