Personal bio: I grew up in LA and I am a decedent of the Grabrielino Tongva, the aboriginal tribe of the Los Angeles River basin. I am a mom of three grown (just about) children. I work everyday towards living my purpose…
How did you start your business & why? I started my business … is a very long story. It was to tell a very tragic story, bring purpose and to make a difference by inspiring Gratitude and cultivating Mindful Change (empowering people with the idea that anyone can change the outcome of their life if they are aware they have a choice.).
How would you best describe your style and the items you sell? My style is really about comfort and what I love, I am not really trendy, but I sometimes happen to be on trend. I have an earthiness but love a little blingy. I think the items we sell is a combination of all things that matter to me and my style has definite influence. As well as the “ones” I work with ;).
When was your first Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market? Our first JITT was in May and we absolutely loved it!
And what is your favorite part about the event? Or a favorite memory? I think all the people is the best part, met some really nice people in Arizona and the memory would also include we were stranded there for almost a week as our Airstream fell ill… and we fell in love with the Phx./Scottsdale area and are eternally Grateful for the family that took us in.
What’s your favorite place to get away in the summer? I love all places south of the border to the to tip of South America, and I also love being home in Solana Beach. I’d also take Italy or Greece. I am hard to pin down to favorites and love adventures. I would most likely go anywhere and do almost anything :).
