Business Name: Strawberry Monday
Personal bio: I am mom to 3 kiddos, and married for 17 years now. I grew up in Rochester, MN and am a singer, songwriter.
How did you start your business & why? Breifly, I started my business 12 years ago because I was a stay at home mom and really missed working so I started selling clothing online. Then I found I needed to meet some ladies who were in business for themselves to so I started a meet-up group, when that was popular, which then led me to having a mentoring company with 6 valley chapters which then led me to being an event producer. Yes, 3 companies at one time…. Crazy. Eventually, I opened a physical location in a mall for my clothing and other boutique items and realized I did not care about clothing and I needed something more creative. I then did a few furniture projects and they sold so I ditched the mall shop and the clothing and here I am. Love the hunt and the creativity that comes along with my biz!
When was your first Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market? In the West World parking lot.
And what is your favorite part about the event? Or a favorite memory? My favorite part about the event is being surrounded by creative and excited individuals and seeing all of the awesomeness that has been found and created.
What’s your favorite place to get away in the summer? Beach days (CA) and firefly nights (MN).
