Business Name: Junk in my Trunk Boutique
Shops where people can find you: online @ www.junkinmytrunkboutique.com and Sweet Repeats Boutique
Personal bio: Children and veterans are my passion whether I am volunteering at some level or involved with an organization. I became a career nanny two months after graduating from high school which has lasted for 15 years. I became a foster mom to three little girls, in 2013. They were one of my greatest challenges and I learned so much from the experience. I didn’t realize the attachment and love that would come from this year long experience. They will forever be in my heart. I became a mother to my own little boy in October of 2014 and he is truly the sunshine of my life.
How did you start your business & why? I am a “junker” at heart, some people may consider me a hoarder. I love repurposing old furniture and giving it new life.
How would you best describe your style and the items you sell? I recycle and repurpose all sorts of furniture and home décor. Recently I expanded my business to include offering a safe, organic all natural milk paint. This exciting new product comes in a powder form. You can purchase the variety of my pre-mixed colors or can get creative and mix your own.
When was your first Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market? Fall 2012
And what is your favorite part about the event? Or a favorite memory? I love experiencing the other vendor’s new idea’s and offerings as well as the relaxed atmosphere and new relationships I have made.
What’s your favorite place to get away in the summer? Probably Idaho, where I was born and raised. The summers are wonderful and I miss the beauty of the mountains and rivers.
