Business Name: Corona Couture
Shops where people can find you: Sweet Salvage, Rusty Saturday, Salon Sanctuary and Poor Little Rich Girl.
Personal bio: I was born and raised in Phoenix but lived in San Francisco for many years. That’s where I feel most connected. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister, we’re all spread out across this world, one is in Malaysia. I’m a bit of a home body.
How did you start your business & why? I’ve always been “crafty” and started with some basic beaded bracelets and necklaces to make a little extra spending money. I slowly started discovering my style and using old broken jewelry. Soon I was using just about anything I could make into a bracelet, necklace or earrings. I love giving new life to something that might have been discarded.
How would you best describe your style and the items you sell? I love funky, rusty, one of a kind pieces. I’m a bit sarcastic and sassy so I put that into my jewelry.
When was your first Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market? November 2011.
And what is your favorite part about the event? Or a favorite memory? I love the anticipation of the event. People talking about it, getting their friends together, hearing about their finds etc.
What’s your favorite place to get away in the summer? Heber for their 4th of July celebration. Best parade and fireworks around!
We are so appreciative of you and your beautiful pieces Lilia! Be sure to look at Corona Couture’s facebook to view more unique jewelry!
