Personal bio: I grew up in Michigan in a very small rural town, I am a mom of two boys and married to my best friend.
How did you start your business & why? I have been in business now over 7 years making jewelry and am blessed to have a real cottage industry in a detached building at my house…I was first introduced to metals at a young age in my father’s metal shop. As an inventor, metal worker and entrepreneur I was taught many skills from him and inherited all his metal making tools after he passed away in 2001. I never really wore jewelry before I started making it .. I just happened to fall in to jewelry making when I first started crafting several years ago and then started selling at a few shows here in there .. it blossomed from there selling wholesale to boutiques and attending shows all over the country .. I now have over 12 reps around the country that sell my handmade jewelry to boutiques.. My hobby has become my job and I actually can say I love what I do !
When was your first Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market? My very first JITT was way back when we were outside in the Fall in the sweltering heat and wind ! 🙂 but it was worth it!! and I haven’t stopped vending since!!!
And what is your favorite part about the event? Or a favorite memory? My favorite part about the event is seeing the same people and vendors, and also meeting sooo many new people each time too .. .. its a very welcoming event and I always feel at home doing it!
What’s your favorite place to get away in the summer? My fav place to get away in the summer is the beach ! also I never miss a chance to go up north to flagstaff or Sedona to get a little cooler !
