Name: Erin Audrey Vetnar
Business Name: Audrey’s
Shops where people can find you: Shops on Cave Creek Rd. ;))
Personal bio: I am a single mom with 3 fantastic kids that on occasion support my passion for upcycling. I grew up in Omaha Nebraska but no, I did not grow up on a farm but rather a lake as my father owned a sailboat business… Probably where I get my love for water and my desire to own my small business.
How did you start your business & why? I started my business after realizing my children were growing up and were having interests of their own which didn’t always include having Mom around. I wanted to take what I love to do and help other people. To find a way to give back.
How would you best describe your style and the items you sell? I have curated my store to be a mix of both vintage and boutique items. Fun, original pieces that have either been found or upcycled that may or may not have been painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint®.
When was your first Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market? May 5 2012
And what is your favorite part about the event? Or a favorite memory? My very favorite part about Junk in the Trunk is the community of people that are involved. It has been so much fun to meet and establish long term relationships with vendors that now have become my friends. That is by far the best part of what this market has done for me personally. On the business side…. My customers have come to find this as a favorite market and love to find us and tell their friends. I’ve made new customers because of the market as well.
What’s your favorite place to get away in the summer? A favorite place for me to go in the summer is anywhere cooler for a few days -Anywhere near a body of water!
