Personal bio: I am originally from Boston, MA where I graduated from College with a Retail Management degree,  My husband and I owned a retail clothing business in Boston’s famous Faneuil Hall for 12 years.  We moved to Arizona 16 years ago, to be closer to family.

How did you start your business & why? I have always had a crafty flair with decorating and began painting furniture. I was a vendor at another vintage shop down the street from 3 Vintage Chicks.  Myself and 2 other friends decided to open our own shop.  With full-time jobs and children, my friends decided that their families needed them.  So the name remains the same, and I am the sole-owner.

How would you best describe your style and the items you sell? We are a shop of 5,500 square feet with over 50 Creative Team Members.  We bring a variety of everything from industrial to retro to cottage style and consider ourselves a true shopping destination. We host a monthly themed event bringing you a specialty shopping night.

When was your first Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market? Fall 2013.

And what is your favorite part about the event? Or a favorite memory? Preparation and decoration is one of the favorite parts of the event.  Planning out what everyone is looking for.  Finding treasures we know everyone will love.  Filling our garages and homes with inventory knowing the excitement that we have because we get to share our passion with the customers that come to Junk in the Trunk.

What’s your favorite place to get away in the summer? I don’t get away enough, as I am also a fitness instructor.  My favorite place to go would have to be Show Low to visit my Dad and Step-Mother and gather a few treasures.
