If you would have asked us 8 years ago when we started Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market, what’s next, I don’t think any of us would have guessed where this journey would have taken us. We had big dreams that seemed unlikely and scary to chase after. Well, 8 years and about 25 markets later, the owners of Junk in the Trunk are embarking on a new and exciting journey!
Over the years, we have had the privilege to get to know our neighbors; from local artisans, shop owners, restauranteurs, developers, florists and so many of you who call Arizona home. We are so fortunate to live in a city filled with creative people and we think this great state supports small business owners like no place else. We have been on a journey to find a place to lay down some permanent roots in addition to our occasional events here in AZ + CA and while it has been a long process, we are grateful to have found our spot.
A year ago, we bought a building in the heart of Arcadia. It was built in the 50s and has been abandoned for years! The ceilings were moldy, the walls were crumbling, but we knew it was something special! The neighborhood has such a rich history and we are so honored and excited to be a small part of this amazing community.
The Vintage Arcadia is a dream come true for us. We wanted to create a gathering place for the neighborhood to connect, to shop, to dine and to relax. The storefront will be filled with curated gifts, home décor, artisan goods and one of a kind vintage and antiques. We are also excited to have Chestnut as part of the space providing casual, handcrafted, farm-to-table dining and drinks that Incorporate the refined culinary influences of Los Angeles, New York, and London.
Demo started a few weeks ago, and the excitement is building! We will be sharing the process here on the blog and you can also check out our website thevintagearcadia.com! We hope you will follow along!
Congratulations on this exciting endeavor! I live in Arcadia and am thrilled you will becoming part of our sweet community.
I am also part owner of Sedona Soap Box. We make handcrafted vegan soap and other body loving products. Our goods are sold in six Sedona stores with great success. We are looking to launch into the valley and would love the opportunity to discuss with you!
Congrats💫💫💫
Looking forward to drinks, dining and discovering new treasures. Blessings on your new venture!
Congratulations. How exciting. I live in Prescott, Az. But I grew up in Pasadena, Ca and of course I visited the Arcadia area frequently. In fact I still have some antiques my parents purchased in the area ions ago. Lol. It has always been a quaint place. Although it has grown that atmosphere is still there.
I go home frequently so I will look forward to visiting Vintage Arcadia. I am passing this info on to my family that still resides in the area.
Have a great rest of the week

Yea! We live right down the street!
OMG the traffic that will be at that intersection! I mean this in a positive way, so happy to see your banner outside of the building and Chestnut too. A great improvement for that space. It’s been languishing for so long.
I haven’t seen any updates lately on the Building. How’s it going
