Whether you have built-ins or just an ikea bookcase, either is a fabulous way to show off some of your awesome junkin’finds! That rusty old table fan, the broken clock, and let’s not forget books. . . I mean it is a bookcase, right. But putting all those fun finds together in a cohesive way can be tricky. Follow these easy steps to help make your bookshelves picture perfect!

Step 1: Start with your books. Stack books in similar colors together and mix by having some stacks vertical and some horizontal.  Layer them on various shelves.

Step 2: Add your junk. . . or accessories. Again, layering is key here. . . some on top of a stack of books, some in front of your books, and some in between.

Step 3: Make it personal. Pick 3 or 4 personal pictures or momentos that make your bookshelf personal. Be careful not to over clutter.
