I have decided that the simplest way to make a HUGE impact on a room is by adding curtains. This may not be true of all rooms, but for my living room I have to say it’s true. Two simple pannels and the room looks completely different. Remember what my living room looked like, with my new couch, and shelf collage.

It looks good, I mean I had no complaints. You wouldn’t walk in and think oh this is just not finished, you know it’s missing something. But then you see it like this, and well you know it is just SO much more fun, bright, cheery and finished looking.

Aren’t they just lovely? I knew that I wanted either horizontally striped curtains or chevron, but I had a very hard time tracking them down. For a while I had considered painting some myself, after seeing lots of tutorials on Pinterest. But really I wanted them in a more sheer fabric to allow the light in. So when I saw these babies at Urban Outfitters I knew I had to have them.
