Two weeks ago, the evil Arizona weather gave us a bit of a reprieve. It dropped to 99, and we celebrated like crazy. By crazy, I mean we whipped up some homemade paint and went to town. All you need is
Cornstarch
Water
Food coloring
Put about a half a cup of cornstarch in a bowl, add enough water to make a gooey paste, then add food coloring as desired.
I warn you, this project is MESSY. Hence the outside – ness. The food coloring leaves a little bit of a stain on the skin, and is not good on clothes. Hence the underwear – ness.
After a while, we ditched the paint brushes and just dug right in!
Also, if you have a hot date night planned, and you want to wear your super cute new ikat print shorts, don’t do this project. Unless of course, you want to look like you have spider veins all over your legs. Or perhaps your children have a little more self control than mine…
What do you do on a beautiful day? Share with us in the comments or on our facebook page.
Happy painting!
