The Girl’s Room

408

At our house we have been busy working on preparing for Baby #3 by finishing up some projects.  And so we decided it was about time to start decorating the kids rooms.  We are starting with the girl’s room.  Hadley (Baby #3) will be sharing a room with Audra, my 17 month old.  So first things first my husband kindly painted the room for me.  We have had the paint for quite some time now, so long actually I had forgotten what the color really even looked like.  But we picked good!  I love the color, it turned out great.  So here is a picture of what the room currently looks like.

So we got the 2 cribs in a painted room.  That’s a good start right?  I have been collecting ideas from Pinterest and found many amazing ideas for their room.  So I thought i would share them with you.  Then once I actually get the room and all my ideas put together in the room I will show you the finished product.  Are you ready?

First I love this series of pictures and the feel of this nursery, but my favorite it the collage of frames above the dresser.  I am planning on getting a new dresser for the girls room and I am planning a great collage for above the dresser!

Under the window in the room, I am planning a mini version of this pallet bed.  I have some narrow pallets that would be the perfect size.  And want to have a little bench under the window, with lots of wonderful pillows for the girls to sit on.

And instead of a mobile of sorts, I’m thinking of a cluster of poofs!  I love these soft, fluffy ones.

And maybe mix in a few tulle poofs too!
And maybe above the girls beds a cute pennant banner!
And the room wouldn’t be complete without some ruffled curtains.

And I love the lace.  So some sort of frame with lace for holding clips and bows!

I love this rug, a rug like this would be really fun.
So what do you think?  Any other great ideas to share?  For two beautiful girlies?!
