Today I have a fun little project for you that I have been working on for my little girl’s room. There are a ton of ideas out there with ways to contain the clutter of a little girls ribbons, headbands and bows and here is what I decided to do for my girlies.
First I started with an assortment of ribbons and fabrics, a hot glue gun, a large frame, a few nails & a hammer (or a staple gun works great too).
I then cut a few strips of fabric and ribbons all long enough to fit inside the frame.
This is approximately where I wanted to place them all in the frame.
I then used small nails to attach each of the ribbons to the backside of the frame. If you have a staple gun that would work much quicker, I however do not have one, so I improvised.
Once each of the ribbons was attached to the backside of the frame securely, I trimmed up the ends of the ribbons & fabric strips so they weren’t hanging off the edges.
This is the finished product from the front.
I then decorated some clothespins to hold the headbands on each ribbon. Do you remember just a couple weeks ago when I showed you how to modge podge the clothespins with the sheet music, well I used that same technique to attach burlap to a few clothespins. And as many of you know how to do, I made up a couple fabric rossettes and hot glued them with some other fabric and ribbon to the clothespins. Because we can’t have boring clothespins right?!
And here you have it, the finished product. A headband/clip holder for all of your little girls accessories!
What do you think?
Are you all ready for the Thanksgiving weekend? I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend with your families.
