Temps are skyrocketing here in Phoenix and the only way to survive is to live in our pool. {I understand this may sound dramatic, but if you want to know what I’m talking about, go sit in your oven at 120* and let me know how you feel}
We moved into our home 2 years ago and remodeled the inside from the studs out, but ignored the backyard. We kept saying “one day we will get to the backyard”, but it was never a priority. My husband and I would invite friends over to swim and everyone would sit on the hot ground because we had no furniture! Cue Hayneedle… I found their site and immediately found so many pieces I loved that were not the run of the mill back yard furniture that we see everywhere.
My goal was to have our backyard feel like an extension of our home, which is very eclectic and bohemian. I chose to go neutral, relying on texture,a mix of patterns and small pops of color to create interest.
My wish list included lots of seating, shade and a fire pit to cook s’mores in the winter with the kids or enjoy a beautiful evening with my hubby!
We also wanted to add greenery to liven up the white block walls. These planters are the perfect touch to create our boho paradise!
We loved partnering with AVE Styles and Hayneedle to bring you these backyard makeovers! Check out Alex’s backyard space over on her site. And check back next week to see how Lindsey’s turned out. You can shop the look and see more pictures on Hayneedle’s blog. Click here to check it out.
